Glaucoma is a silent disease. The most important risk factor is raised intraocular pressure. Risk factors for glaucoma include age above 40 years, diabetes, myopia, mature cataract, trauma, certain eye diseases and a family history of glaucoma.
All adults should have a complete eye exam before age 40, or sooner if you have risk factors for glaucoma or other eye problems.
At Nayana Eye Care we combine our expertise and equipment to help diagnose glaucoma. All regular patients are examined meticulously for the presence of signs indicative of glaucomatous damage. All suspects of glaucoma are then comprehensively examined by an experienced Ophthalmologist through a series of tests to evaluate the presence and extent of damage and therefore deliver treatment effectively.
